Holidays and longer distance travel shouldn't...

We have a Dazzle stroller that we purchased in the UK in late 2010 and we love it. We want to thank Stuart from Silver Cross Australia, for helping to replace a faulty seat sling and then giving our stroller a complete service today. It moved even better once the wheels had a clean and were oiled and serviced! We plan to do this more regularly ourselves now as it has made it just like new again! Stuart also showed me how to lock the front wheels when folding to stop them touching the hood and making it dirty (although a wipe with some soap and warm sponge cleans the dazzle very easily anyway). The Dazzle is super easy to push and glides through shopping centres easily. On holidays we also take it over fairly rough paths, parks etc and it also handles well as the wheels self align and the suspension is great. It is quick and easy to fold up and can be picked up and moved one handed as it is light and locks into folded postion and has a handle to carry it with. The seat is softly padded and has brilliant recline that is easy to do one handed and lets you chose the exact angle your baby is going to sit / sleep at. When our baby was younger, he slouched a bit, which we thought was the stroller, but have since noticed, that he slouches in all prams and seats! He is really comfy for long days in the Dazzle. He sleeps well and can see everything as the most upright position is really upright. I also love that the seat sling allows you to use the extra fabric when in upright position as a little holder and you can put a drink etc for easy access (this opens out and is part of the protection for the baby when lying flat.) When laying down, no wind or rain can get in as the seat sling is all in one. The rain cover is also excellent and protects all of the fabric, including the hood - just the handles poke out. The shopping basket is not huge but is adequate for a stroller and is easy to access through the side if your baby is laying down as the velcro is quick and easy to open and close. We also have the matching footmuff, nappy bag and parasol (have not used this yet!). The footmuff was cosy and kept our baby warm and dry in England during December. The nappy bag is fantastic - great size, design and with heaps of usable pockets. It is light weight and machine washable. We haven't used the stroller on a holiday in the heat yet, so can't comment on the parasol. The Dazzle is lightweight and is super easy to travel with (domestic and international), and with the travel bag we also purchased, we returned from Europe and Asia without any damage and with a clean stroller! As it is light and compact, we were able to keep the stroller until we boarded and then the baggage handlers carried it over their shoulder it in its travel bag to the hold below. I think they took more care of it as it was so easy for them to carry. Rather than being thrown on the trolley with all the other strollers, it also came back to us at the other end over the baggage handlers shoulder! We love our stroller, even if it is the older model. I know the newer model has a better hood for sun protection (our model has a very small hood) and comes with a newborn baby insert and seat liner to make cleaning even easier. We would highly recommend the Dazzle - it not only looks great, but is a fantastic stroller that should be used as the pram in the car and for holidays.
