I wanted a light weight pram as I have a medical condition which means I can't lift or push heavy things. I chose the Surf Chili after lots of internet research and some very helpful advice over email from the Silver Cross staff. I ordered online and it arrived without a hitch.
The pram is very functional and incredibly stylish. My partner loves it and says it is a pram a man can feel happy pushing! He is 6 foot 6 but the handles are high enough for him. It manouvres easily and is much more compact than other prams. My baby lies and sleeps in it quite well.
The only minor problem is that there is a trick to folding it down. We didn't understand it and in fact broke the chassis by accident in our attempts to collapse it!! I rang and emailed Silver Cross and their response was exceptional: Stewart came to my house with a new chassis which he did not charge for, and showed me how to work it properly. Amazing service.

I bought the Silver Cross Surf for my second child after my husband and I had seen it at a baby show. We loved how easy it was to fold and set up. Not to mention how light it was, which was important to me with two children. Since using it I have only fallen more in love with it, particularly as I can generally steer it single handed whilst holding my older child's hand. The baby nest is so soft and gentle on the newborn and draws a lot of attention. It is amazing how many people have asked me where I bought the nest as they are wanting to ditch their bassinet attachment. Then there are the amount of people that just stop me to ask what brand it is and to comment on how great it looks! I really liked the pram I had with my first child but I LOVE my Silver Cross

The Surf pram is an exceptionally well designed pram. It is lightweight and the chassis is quite small when folded, which is important when travelling - you need so much stuff with a baby.
This pram is aesthetically pleasing too - many men have commented to me that they would have been much more keen to push their babies if they had had a pram like that to push! Common comments are "Rolls Royce of Prams" (ladies comments) and "that's the Porsche of Prams!".
The parasol is great - we took our little girl to the zoo and the parasol kept the sun out of her eyes but she could still see everything. If you use the shade canopy (on any pram) part of the child's vision is blocked. Not a huge issue most of the time, but for family outings to interesting places the parasol is great to have.
The cream inlay (for newborns up) is so cozy and comfortable, your baby is cocooned. It looks like it won't last long but our daughter is still using it at nine months.
The pram is easy to put up/down and I would recommend this pram to anyone.
